Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring layers of potatoes and zucchini baked to perfection with a creamy sauce and topped with cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g potatoes
  • 300g zucchini
  • 200ml cream
  • 150g grated cheese (Gruyère or Cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg (optional)
  • 12 cloves of garlic (optional)
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Slice the potatoes and zucchini into thin rounds using a mandoline for consistency.
  3. Butter a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes and zucchini alternately in the dish, starting with potatoes.
  5. Whisk together the cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and minced garlic in a mixing bowl. Pour over the vegetables.
  6. Sprinkle the grated cheese generously on top.
  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until golden brown and vegetables are tender.
  8. Serve hot, savor every bite.
