Description

A delicious and tangy blackcurrant jam that captures the essence of summer in every jar.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g blackcurrants
  • 300 g sugar
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 packet of gelling agent (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the blackcurrants and remove the stems.
  2. Combine blackcurrants and lemon juice in a heavy-bottomed pot.
  3. Add the sugar once the berries are soft.
  4. Return the mixture to the heat and bring it to a boil.
  5. Perform a gel test to determine if your jam is ready.
  6. Fill the hot jam into sterilized jars.
  7. Seal and store the jars properly.

Notes

Always use ripe berries for the best flavor and remember to sterilize your jars properly.
