Description

A delightful homemade apricot jam with a zesty lime twist, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g ripe apricots
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 lime (juice and zest)
  • 1 pack of gel sugar (2:1)

Instructions

  1. Wash the apricots: Rinse thoroughly under cold water, remove pits, and cut into small chunks.
  2. Mix the ingredients: Combine apricot pieces with sugar, lime juice, and lime zest in a pot and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the gel sugar: Stir well until blended and sugar dissolves.
  4. Bring to a boil: Cook on high heat for about 4 minutes, stirring regularly.
  5. Transfer to jars: Pour hot jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  6. Cool and store: Allow jars to cool before storing them in a cool, dark place.

Notes

For a unique twist, consider replacing lime with lemon or using honey instead of sugar.
